Reindeer Sledding, Reindeer Feeding, and Chance of Northern Lights

Less than 1 hour fromTromsø city center our camp will show a glimpse of the Polar experience. Away from the city light pollution and with temperatures that can reach minus 30C, you will experience a 20 minute sled ride in the darkness, just stars and hopefully Northern Lights dancing over your head and then in the fence you will meet ourherd, feed it and make memories of a lifetime.
After a traditional taste of Bidos (vegan and gluten free option available) our Sami guides will share their culture and stories with you.Come curious, they can’t wait to hear your questions!
IMPORTANT:the sled ride is subject to good snow conditions, and sometimes we must adjust the duration of this activity. If the weather does not allow us to run the sledride at all, we will offer you a partial refund. The rest of the tour will beheld as normal.
PLEASE NOTE: The maximum weight per person is 120kg.
Includes:
- 50 minute scenic transfer to camp and back to the city
- Feeding our reindeer
- 20 minute sled ride in a raid
- Traditional lunch with Bidos (or a vegan option: a Norwegian style vegetable soup with potatoes, turnips, carrots, onions, leeks, salt, pepper, spices and broth, gluten free), bread, margarine, cookies, hot cocoa, coffee and tea
- A 30 minute introduction on Sami culture given by an authentic Sami guide
- Snowsuits, boot covers, hats, mittens
- Warm clothes, especially hat and mittens

Meeting point and time:
Pick up is at 5.45pm in front of Radisson Blu hotel, the bus will depart at 6pm
Look for a guide wearing a blue Luhkka (traditional Sami poncho)
You will be back in front of Radisson Blu hotel by 10.30pm
It is possible for our guests to arrive to our camp autonomously if they wish to do so. Our address is Sjursnesvegen 144, 9027 Ramfjordbotn, Norway.
Please keep in mind that norwegian roads present a peculiar set of adversities. If you are not a skilled driver on snowy and icy conditions, consider coming with our bus. We value our guests' safety over everything!
