Reindeer Feeding and Chance of Northern Lights

Away from city lights but just 50 minutes from Tromsø city center at our camp, you will get to experience the true reality of the Arctic winter nights: in the cold silence of Northern Norway you will meet our reindeer and feed them, and maybe the sky will open up, and the Northern Lights will show and dance for us!

After having a taste of Bidos (vegan and gluten free option available), our Sami guides will lead you through centuries of history and tradition, sharing with you stories, anecdotes, and tales from their beautiful culture. Come ready to be awed and ask many questions, they can’t wait to share with you!

Includes:

• 50 minute scenic transfer to camp and back to the city
• Feeding our reindeer
• Traditional lunch with Bidos (or a vegan option: a Norwegian style vegetable soup with potatoes, turnip, carrots, onions, leek, salt, pepper, spices and broth, gluten free), bread, margarine, cookies, hot cocoa, coffee and tea
• A 30 minute introduction on Sami culture given by an authentic Sami guide
• Snowsuits, boot covers, hats, mittens

Meeting point and time:

Pick up is at 5.45pm in front of Radisson Blu hotel, the bus will depart at 6pm

Look for a guidewearing a blue Luhkka (traditional Sami poncho)

You will be back in front of Radisson Blu hotel by 10.30pm

It is possible for our guests to arrive at our camp autonomously if they wish to do so. Our address is Sjursnesvegen 144, 9027 Ramfjordbotn, Norway.

Please keep in mind that Norwegian roads present a peculiar set of adversities. If you are not a skilled driver in snowy and icy conditions, consider coming with our bus. We value our guests' safety over everything!
